Nexus S goes on auction on Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse

The Google Nexus S smartphone has the new Android 2.3 ‘Gingerbread’ OS went on sale through Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse stores.

The new smartphone has released the details of the price depending on which bill-pay deal customers sign up for. To mark the release, all new bill-pay users are qualifying upgrades that will get the gadget for free.

It boots its first 4-inch Super Clear LCD Contour Display. It has a WVGA 480 x 800 resolutions and it benefits from the new oleo phobic protection against stains and fingerprints. It also has a 5-megapixel camera that is supported by a 1GHz Samsung processor and a built-in graphic processor.

“There is good news for its customers that it will be the first to get access to the Nexus S from Google direct through our stores,” said Stefano Gastaut, consumer director of Vodafone in Ireland.

“At Vodafone, we work closely with our associates across the industry to give there customers an important smartphone range that includes the latest innovations in product and user experience,” Gastaut said.
