A new handset from the LG Cookie range of mobile phones has been spotted – the LG Cookie Fresh GS290 was seen by the guys at Portablegear during the CeBIT event in Germany.
Following hot on the heels of the Cookie successor, the Cookie Plus, LG seem keen to capitalise on the popularity of the low-cost touchscreen market with the “freshest” Cookie (sorry). The Cookie Fresh is an inexpensive version of the original Cookie.
Aimed for users who want a touchscreen but can’t afford to buy a premium device like the iPhone, HTC HD2 or Samsung Wave, the Cookie Fresh covers the basic communication features. It sports a 3 inch QVGA touchscreen with social networking integrated for (presumably) sites like Twitter and Facebook. There is an FM radio onboard, a 2-megapixel camera, a media player, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm audio connector.
LG hasn’t officially announced the Cookie Fresh yet so we’re not sure on the price for the handset yet – but we’ll update you as soon as we know.
